Liu Yifei has signed with William Morris Agency, one of the top three American agencies, becoming the second Chinese actress, after Zhang Ziyi, to sign with this company. whose clients includes Jackie Chan, Julia Roberts, Mel Gibson, Macaulay Culkin, Val Kilmer, Sharon Stone, Halle Berry, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lucy Liu, Brendan Fraser and acclaimed director Ridley Scott among others. Other main actors are Michael Angarano of "Sky High" fame and Chinese actress Li Bing Bing (李冰冰). |

The shooting of the most eagerly anticipated martial art movie in history begins. The Forbidden Kingdom is a US$100 million Hollywood production funded by Lions Gate Entertainment and The Weinstein Company. It is a film collaboration between three martial arts legends - Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Yuen Woo Ping. Hollywood director Rob Minkoff will be directing this film while, Yuen Woo Ping, will handle the action choreography. Yifei met the director and all the main actors to practise the scripts tpgether in Dunhuang . The shooting took place in the Gobi Desert and Yumenguan which is about 90km northwest of Dunhuang city. In ancient times, Yumenguan was the most important pass of the north route on the Silk Road, So, other than great action in this movie, we should expect an excellent breathtaking cinematography. The cinematographer of this movie is none other than Peter Pau. He is the top cinematopgrapher in Hong Kong and has won numerous awards and nominations, including an Oscar in 2001 for "Crouching Tiger & Hidden Dragon."

Crystal was at Harbour Plaza Hotel in Hong Kong to promote her first English film The Forbidden Kingdom. She was joined by Li Bing Bing, and director Rob Minkoff. They were interviewed by the local press. Jackie Chan and Jet Li were also at the hotel but were interviewed separately.

Crystal was at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong to promote The Forbidden Kingdom. She was joined by other cast and crew members Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Li Bingbing, Rob Minkoff (director), Casey Silver (producer), Rafaella DeLaurentis (producer) and Peter Pau (cinematographer). The Forbidden Kingdom opens April 18, 2008 worldwide.

Forbidden KIngdom on April 16. She was at China World Hotel,
Beijing, with co-stars Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Li Bing Bing, director
Rob Minkoff, and action choreographer Yuen Wu Ping for the first
press conference and publicity activities for the movie. The event
was covered by more than 300 media from China, Japan, South Korea,
Thailand and Malaysia.   |
